CEZA FACILITATES 3RD TRIPARTITE INDUSTRIAL PEACE COUNCIL MEETING WITH DOLE AND REGISTERED LOCATORS

The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Region II (DOLE-R02), successfully facilitated the 3rd CEZA Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) meeting on August 8, 2025, at the CEZA Corporate Center in Santa Ana, Cagayan.

The meeting aimed to foster transparency and strengthen dialogue between government agencies and the private sector in support of labor standards and policies that promote a productive and compliant workforce.

Key officers and stakeholders took part in the discussions, including CEZA Complaints/Action Chief Mr. Gaudencio A. Fronda, DOLE Assistant Regional Director Atty. Remedios T. Vegim-Teves, and DOLE Provincial Head Ms. Laura B. Diciano. Also present were officers and employees of CEZA-registered enterprises such as Alpha Fortune Management Solutions, Inc.; Cagayan Grand Adventure and Leisure, Inc.; Cybertech Analyst Technologist Corporation; Eastern Hawaii Leisure Company Limited; First Cagayan Converge Data Center, Inc.; Kui Business Services, Inc.; North Cagayan Gaming Amusement Corp.; Pacific Solutions Management and Consultancy Services, Inc.; Party Group Management Corp.; and Pax Asia Information Corporation.

One of the highlights was the proposal to launch the first-ever CEZA TIPC activity—a Color Fun Run. The event seeks to foster collaboration and solidarity among CEZA locators and the local community, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and raise funds for outreach programs in Santa Ana. DOLE ARD Atty. Vegim-Teves welcomed the proposal, describing it as an excellent initiative to strengthen employer-employee relations. Mr. Fronda likewise expressed confidence that CEZA Administrator and CEO Sec. Katrina Ponce Enrile would be supportive of the plan.

The body also scheduled an Employers’ Forum on August 28, 2025, which will serve as a venue for employers and stakeholders within the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP) to discuss pressing labor-related issues, including age-limit policies, memorandum circulars, and other regulations that directly affect employment practices.

As a consultative and advisory body, the TIPC provides a platform for management, labor, and government representatives to engage in social dialogue, formulate policies, and promote industrial peace. In this latest meeting, CEZA and DOLE Region II reaffirmed their commitment to advancing labor-management cooperation while underscoring the importance of collaboration and consultation among all sectors in addressing labor and social concerns.

Through initiatives like the TIPC, CEZA continues to strengthen its role not only as an economic driver in the region but also as a model of responsive governance, inclusive growth, and sustainable development in the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport.
