Lingkod-CEZA Job Fair and Skills Training Yield 457 Applicants, 55 New Hires, and 48 Trainees
The CEZA Job Fair and Skills Training, held on February 24, 2025, at the CEZA Corporate Center in Santa Ana, Cagayan, provided fresh opportunities for job seekers and employers alike. With 457 applicants, 55 on-the-spot hires, and 48 trainees, the event reaffirmed CEZA’s role in bridging talent with opportunity.
The job fair and skills training are part of CEZA’s regular activities under the Lingkod-CEZA Program. This Program is meant to support the local communities by providing various activities that can benefit them in different areas. A Hub for Employment and Skills Development
Part of the Lingkod-CEZA Program, the event aimed to connect local talent with CEZA-registered enterprises while equipping individuals with in-demand skills. Job seekers, from fresh graduates to experienced professionals, engaged directly with recruiters, while CEZA, in partnership with TESDA and DOLE, facilitated skills training in cold water installation—a skill identified as necessary for local industries yet lacking among the workforce.
On-the-Spot Hires: A Win-Win for AllA highlight of the event was the on-the-spot hiring, demonstrating the efficiency of face-to-face recruitment. Employers were able to fill critical roles immediately, reducing hiring time, while job seekers experienced life-changing moments as their skills were recognized and validated.
“I didn’t expect to get hired immediately, but the recruiter saw my potential, and it just clicked,” shared one successful candidate.
Companies like Cyber Analyst Technologies Solutions, Inc. took advantage of the event’s efficient setup, making multiple job offers. “The format allowed us to connect with well-prepared candidates and make quick hiring decisions,” said a hiring manager.
Lasting Impact and Future PlansBeyond immediate employment, the job fair and training empowered attendees with networking opportunities, industry insights, and career advancement tools. CEZA Administrator and CEO Katrina Ponce Enrile expressed satisfaction with the event’s success and reaffirmed CEZA’s commitment to workforce development. “This is just one of the many programs we regularly implement, and we are continually exploring ways to do more,” she said.
The event’s strong turnout and tangible results highlight the power of face-to-face interactions in employment generation. “With 457 applicants, 55 hires, and 48 trainees, this job fair is proof that when talent meets opportunity, transformation happens,” noted CEZA Senior Manpower Development Officer Reynold R. Alibania.
As CEZA continues to drive employment and skills development, this initiative stands as a model for future efforts to support local job seekers and industries.
Sec. Katrina Ponce Enrile reaffirmed CEZA’s commitment to job creation, emphasizing its role in driving economic growth within the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport.
